Full-Time Teller
Morgantown Bank & Trust, an independent, community-based financial institution, is seeking applicants for full-time Teller position(s) for our Bowling Green market.
Job Summary
- -Responsible for comprehensive, prompt, and efficient customer transactions
- -Receives check and cash for deposits to accounts, verifies amounts, examines checks for proper endorsement, checks validity of checks and enters deposits into computer records
- -Receives mortgage, consumer loan and other payments and ensures the payments match balances due; enters payments into computer
- -Provides exceptional customer service and sales using ethical sales solutions
- -Identifies referral and cross-sell opportunities
- -Develops and originates deposit accounts
- -Provides other sales and support duties in a dynamic work environment
Required Qualifications
- -High school diploma or equivalent, minimum
- -2+ years of customer service or sales experience, previous banking experience preferred
- -1+ years cash handling experience
- -Previous teller experience preferred, but not required
- -Ability to operate computer system
- -Ability to pay close attention to detail in a busy work environment
Although previous banking and teller experience is preferred, a highly qualified candidate with excellent skills in the areas of communication and sales will be considered.
Job Summary
Full-Time Head Teller
Morgantown Bank & Trust, an independent, community-based financial institution, is seeking applicants for full-time Head Teller position(s) for our Bowling Green market.
- Performs normal teller duties on a daily basis
- Provides on-the-job training for tellers on an as-needed basis
- Monitors tellers to ensure compliance with Bank’s procedures and policies
- Issues written and oral instructions on teller operations as necessary
- Reviews teller outages on a regular basis, reinforcing training where necessary and taking other actions appropriate under the circumstances including reporting major discrepancies
- Receives mortgage, consumer loan and other payments, and ensures the payments match balances due, enters payments into computer
- Performs a variety of customer service transactions; account holds, stop-payments and direct deposits and check confirmation
- Provides complete range of customer service including opening new accounts, explaining available bank products and services, gathering customer information to process new and existing accounts
- Provides other sales and support duties in a dynamic work environment
- Researches problems to determine cause and assists in establishing appropriate procedures to ensure that the situation is addressed
- Exhibits complete understanding of bank products and actively cross-sells to new and existing customers
- Performs other such duties as requested
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of job-related experience including formal teller and new accounts training
- Ability to analyze financial information and make recommendation on products and services
- Good interpersonal, communication and computer skills; ability to operate standard office equipment such as adding machines, copiers, typewriters, computers
- Positive attitude and ability to maintain constructive relationships with employees
- Ability to pay close attention to detail and maintain concentration in a busy work environment
- Ability to follow policies and procedures
